It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Casimiro Lopez, Jr. "Casey" on January 30, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.  Born on August 5, 1959, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Doris Delong and Casimiro Lopez, Sr., Casimiro was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Michael Lopez.  His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Ernestine Lopez; his beloved sons, Casimiro Lopez, IV, Joshua Lopez, and Zachary Lopez; and his daughters-in-law, Jean Lopez and Stephanie Davila. He also leaves behind his two beloved grandchildren, Lucas and Amelia, as well as his siblings, Andrea Lynne Lopez-Barry and Bruce Lopez, nephews, Christopher and Nicholas; niece, Stacey Hall; his grandnieces, Alani and Natalie; and a large circle of extended family and dear friends.

He found joy in the little things, especially time spent with family during the holidays, birthday celebrations, and the comfort of relaxing at Medina Lake, fishing, boating, camping, and barbecuing. He was a self-taught master of Mexican cuisine, known for his homemade tamales. He was also an avid carpenter, gardener, and mechanic, and was proficient in heating and air conditioning, which was his career. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
