Obituary

Jeffrey Daniel Pelhank,  67, passed away on February 19, 2026, in San Antonio,  Texas after an unexpected illness.  Raised in Bethalto, Illinois, Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Civic Memorial High School. Jeff led a happy, active life filled with family,friends, and many activities.  Such as baseball, basketball, and fishing inland or off the coast.  He loved cooking for everyone,  and traveling with family or to be with family.  He hosted epic family get togethers that left us all with wonderful memories.  He put the greatest importance on family,  faith and friendship.  Jeff was preceded in death by:
-father,  Daniel Pelhank
-granddaughter,  Adalyn Kalloway Brier
-father-in-law, Phillip J. Lowery
-niece,  Brandee Silveus
-amazing grandparents, uncles,aunts, and a few cousins
Jeff is survived by:
-Wife, Misty (Lowery) Pelhank
-mother,  Margaret (Hunt) Pelhank
-mother-in-law, Stacey Lowery
-children: Kristina Pelhank, Kyle Pelhank, Spencer Brier( Adria),Alex Brier(Annie),Skyler Brier, (Kathleen)
-grandchildren: Clara McCoy, Ariya Brier, Calliope Brier, Alfie Pelhank, and Finnley Pelhank
-sisters, Juliann Silveus (Don) and
-Rebekah Gross (Loyd)
-brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Elizabeth King
-nieces, nephews, and greats:Megan (Adam)
Johnisee and sons William and Michael
Lonnie(Erika) Silveus and son Benjen;
Adam(Lauren)Gross and sons Daniel,Carter, and Leo; Joseph Gross; Hunter, Anna,and Lilly King
-many very special cousins, but one that was like a brother, John Hueneger
Jeff worked as a Network Specialist for cobb County schools for 21 years he retired in 2019
In 2014 he became a property manager for Cherokee Retreat in white, GA
In 2015 he started a food truck business called
Myrtle's Roadside BBQ in white ga named after his grandma Myrtle Hunt who inspired his love for cooking
In a recent move to San Antonio, Texas
Jeff met Tony Fonseca ,owner of Heavenly Q, and worked alongside him feeding the troops.
A celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In the meantime,  have a Indiana Jones movie marathon, eat some hotwings,  crab legs,  and a big bowl of lime jello salad.
