Melissa Ann Leal, beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 46.

Melissa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin Hernandez; her father, Reynaldo Leal Jr.; and her grandparents.

She is survived by her two sons, Brandon and Partner Jazel, and Sebastian, who were the pride and joy of her life; her cherished granddaughter, Adalyn, whom she loved deeply; her loving mother, Lucy ; her brothers, Rey and his wife, Audrey, and Ronnie and his wife, Kassandra; as well as countless aunts, uncles, her niece, five nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her tremendously.

Melissa’s love for her family was unwavering. She had a special gift for bringing everyone together, whether for a celebration, a family gathering, or simply to enjoy each other’s company. Her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and ability to make every occasion memorable will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

Her legacy of love, compassion, strength, and joy will continue to live on through her children, granddaughter, and all those whose lives she touched.

A memorial service to celebrate Melissa’s life will be held on May 16th at 1pm to 4pm at KRBC Ministries at 700 West Hutchins Pl. San Antonio TX 78221 Followed by a reception at the same location.

Melissa will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
