Born May 26, 1970 in Zanesville, Ohio to Theron W Simms Jr and Phyllis A Strever.

Michael (Eddie) had a big heart and loved everyone. He strived in making people happy and always wanted the best for everyone he met. He would go to McDonald's and buy their $1.00 cheeseburgers and walk around giving them to the homeless. He had such compassion for the homeless in the area. He would give them whatever he had and go without and never complain when he had nothing.

Michael loved his kids and grandchildren more than anything and loved being with them. He bragged about how proud he was of his son and his accomplishments. His unwavering love and bond with his daughter Amber was one to admire.
Above everything, he was a man devoted to God. His faith was unshakable, and he shared the love of his Lord and Savior through his kindness, generosity, and the way he lifted others up. Even in the hardest moments, he chose love and positivity. His life was a true reflection of his faith.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis A Strever, his step-mother Audry A Simms, his maternal grandparents Robert and Ann Bookman, his paternal grandparents Theron W and Lucy B Simms Sr.

He is survived by his daughter Amber (Allen), of Marble Falls, TX, his son John (Erica) of Beeville, TX, his father Theron W Simms Jr of Crawford, GA., his brother Donnie (Jackie) Simms of Muskogee, Oklahoma, sister Becky Simms of Victoria, TX, sister Melissa Smith of Athens, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jeremy Michael Simms , Sean Edward Herold , Eric Ray Muenzler , Ethan Kole Herold and Madilyn Grace Herold and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements being made by Bluebonnet Funeral Home, San Antonio. Services will be held at a later date.
