Tifano J.
Mcatee
May 31, 1956 — May 24, 2025
Tiff McAtee, a man whose generous spirit and infectious laughter touched countless lives, passed away on May 24, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.
Tiff is survived by his loving siblings, Theresa, Verlisa, Robert and, his wife Sheila. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, Julian, Elijah and wife Sydney, Midori and husband Caleb, Dominic, and Demetris, as well as his adored great-nieces and nephew, Elysia, Noah, Alayna, and Kairi.
He had a way of pulling people into his circle, and somehow, even your friends became his; Arlene, Lou, Foster, Terri and Miguel. His warmth and humor were magnetic, and his laughter had a way of filling a room
A true sports enthusiast, Tiff loved all athletics, but his heart belonged to football, especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of the game, recalling every statistic, player – past, present, and potential – with an impressive recall that could rival any professional sports announcer.
Beyond his passion for sports, he had an incredible memory, especially when it came to the birthdays of those he loved. He made it a point to make everyone feel special—often sending thoughtful cards with money or gift cards, just to let you know you were on his mind. Tiff had a special kind of generosity that made people feel seen and valued.
His nephew Meech at an early age gave Tiff the name "Uncle Chuck" that seem to stick and we all started calling him uncle Chuck. His big heart extended to playful moments, whether it was playing Barbie's with Alayna by being the voice of Ken, or playing kitchen and tasting the pretend food or even letting Alayna put makeup on him – a surprising feat for someone who famously wouldn't wear a shirt with even a hint of pink or purple, declaring them "girlie" colors.
Tiff "Uncle Chuck" will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, his loyalty, and his unwavering love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family will have a private celebration of life gathering. They ask for prayers and to share your memories of Tiff with us.
